Fine Line and Wrinkle Treatment in Seoul – Diagnosis by Board-Certified Dermatologists

Fine lines and wrinkles are creases in the skin caused by repeated facial movement, collagen loss, sun damage and dryness. At The Heal Dermatology Sinsa Main Branch in Gangnam, Seoul, board-certified dermatologists identify whether lines are dynamic or static and combine Botox, skin boosters, fillers, energy devices and skincare for natural-looking improvement.

What causes fine lines & wrinkles

Dynamic lines form from repeated expressions such as frowning or smiling. Over time, as collagen and elastin decline and skin loses moisture, they become static lines visible at rest. Sun exposure, smoking, dehydration and genetics accelerate wrinkle formation.

How a dermatologist diagnoses it

A dermatologist observes your face at rest and during expressions, assesses skin thickness, hydration and sun damage, and may use imaging-based skin analysis. Distinguishing dynamic from static lines, and lines from volume loss, guides the choice of treatment.

Treatment options at The Heal Sinsa

Dynamic lines respond to Botox. Static fine lines and crepey texture may improve with skin boosters, Rejuran, skin Botox or microneedle RF such as Potenza. Deeper folds may need fillers. Availability of specific devices varies by branch – confirm at consultation. Every plan starts with a 1:1 consultation with a Korean board-certified dermatologist and imaging-based skin analysis; you will not be pushed toward treatment you do not need. Pricing is confirmed after consultation; see pricing and payment.

Sessions, downtime & side effects

  • Botox: effect starts in about 3–7 days and typically lasts 3–4 months
  • Skin boosters: usually two to three sessions, 2–4 weeks apart
  • Small injection bumps or bruising for a few days
  • Botox and fillers are generally avoided in pregnancy and breastfeeding

Home care

Daily sunscreen is the most effective anti-ageing step. Use a moisturiser, and consider retinoids introduced slowly. Avoid smoking, get enough sleep and protect your eyes from squinting with sunglasses.

When to see a doctor

See a dermatologist if lines are changing your appearance in ways that bother you, if over-the-counter products irritate your skin, or if you want a plan that avoids an overdone look.

Planning around your trip to Seoul

Botox needs a few days to take effect, so treat early in your trip; see flying after Botox and Botox brands in Korea. The clinic is on the 7th floor of Sinsa Square near Sinsa Station, close to Garosu-gil (getting here), and English support is available on request (international patients).

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Botox and filler for wrinkles?

Botox relaxes muscles that cause expression lines, while fillers add volume to soften deeper folds or lost volume. They treat different causes and are often combined. Your dermatologist will explain which suits each area.

Will I look frozen after Botox?

Not when doses are chosen carefully. The aim at The Heal is natural movement with softer lines. A dermatologist assesses your expressions and may suggest conservative dosing, with a follow-up check if adjustments are needed.

At what age should I start treating wrinkles?

There is no fixed age. Sunscreen and good skincare help at any age. Treatments are considered when lines start to bother you. A dermatologist can advise whether prevention, skincare or procedures make sense for you.
